Basic Configuration
Configuring Password
After a connection is established to the console, the user can only have the basic show command. To
gain more privilege to access, the user has to enter enable mode. When the general use enter enable
mode, he/she gains the all the privilege to change the system configuration. Therefore it is important
to set the password, so only the administrator can enter to configure the settings.

AP-IP300(config)# enable password {password}

Configuring Host Name
When the user is connected to telnet or console, he/she can change a name of prompt in the setting of
CLI. Naming the host becomes more important when many devices are connected to telnet to be
administered. It would be more convenient to use the words representing location as a name.

User Administration
The user account is used for connecting telenet, FTP, Samba.
The user account and password must be know to the administrator only. If they are exposed to any
other, the product can not be operated properly.
